Employee Handbooks

Employee handbooks are a necessary documentation tool to help bring you into compliance with the 180 federal labor laws and the many state laws that apply to your operations.  But, they do not have to be dry and boring!  In fact, some attorneys have told us that you can further minimize your risk of lawsuit by using a language style that matches your company norms and including only content that is relevant to your operations.  And, we believe that your handbook should do more than just get you into legal compliance.

When you present your new handbook to your staff, we want the result to be that your employees feel more satisfied with their jobs.  Your handbook should clarify process and policies, and show that you apply rules consistently and fairly.  It should answer questions your staff may have about handling sensitive situations, such as requesting a pay raise or promotion, giving notice or reporting a grievance.

Our goal is to create a handbook that communicates the way your business truly operates, in a style your employees will relate to.  Although we have a vast database of templates to pull policy documentation from, each handbook we create varies drastically from all others.  We approach developing an employee handbook as an opportunity to review all of your HR policies and make improvements.
